Voter Registration Guide

It’s now September, school is in session, some trees are already beginning to change to their autumn colors, the temperature means we get 3 seasons in one day, and the cool autumn breeze is back. One less enjoyable part of autumn is the politics that get brought along with it. The 2024 political season is upon us, we are now less than 50 days out from Election Day.

You may be wondering what that means. Well, depending on your living situation it could mean you are bombarded with advertisements from Democrats and Republicans. You could also be lucky enough to avoid the political culture.

You may be wondering: “With the election coming up, is there any way to get involved and make a difference?” The number one answer is to get yourself educated on the people and policies in your local area. Only after this are you capable of making an informed decision regarding your vote.

If you are under 18 this is still incredibly important as it is important to know your representation in Congress and at the state level. For those over 18 who wish to make a difference, once again knowing the candidates is imperative. Hold discussions about the candidates with your families, understand the policy they favor, and register to vote.

Registration is quite simple to do and we encourage all eligible citizens to register and make their votes count in November. All information can be found at https://vote.gov.

While we are still more than 40 days away from the election we are less than 20 days away from the first states no longer permitting registration. Please, make your pragmatic voice heard on November 5th in this increasingly hostile political environment.
